Research Focus

My work looks into the mechanical and chemical cues that promote human breast tumor growth. Specifically, I am researching how the varying stiffnesses of both the malignant and normal tissues within the breast tumor microenvironment affect the growth and behavior of host tissue stem cells. I hope to gain a better understanding of the correlation between these mechanical cues and the microenvironmental chemical cues, such as growth factors, that contribute to the tumor’s angiogenesis.

Currently, I am a senior at Cornell University majoring in Biological Engineering, with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering.
